Business Unit Manager

The chosen candidate will be responsible for the operations and smooth running of Eden SuperBowl and will report to the Eden Leisure Group Directors.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Leadership

  • Leading and managing the team of employees at Eden SuperBowl;
  • Guiding and leading Duty Management to ensure smooth operations;
  • Creating a harmonious working environment, train and mentor staff and motivate all team members to perform efficiently.
  • Carrying our Performance Appraisals of senior staff;
  • Ensuring that the company’s policy on superior customer service is implemented at all levels;

Operations

  • Overseeing overall operations of the business unit;
  • Incorporating companies policies and procedures in operations of the business unit;
  • Overseeing maintenance and doing research into the implementation of new technologies;
  • Ensuring the staff levels are adequate to the business requirements in all departments;
  • Finding ways to reduce costs through operational improvements;
  • Ensuring that Health & Safety requirements are met;
  • Ensuring full adherence to local laws and legislation;

Marketing

  • Analysing and exploring market trends;
  • Locating areas of improvement and finding means to achieve these improvements;
  • Planning and executing promotional initiatives and events;
  • Continuing to build on business to business initiatives;
  • Liaise with group marketing department to come up with innovative marketing campaigns;

Finance

  • Developing budgets for discussion followed by presentation and approval for the Board of Directors;
  • Planning and executing yearly operational and financial targets, ensuring that sales targets are achieved and costs are contained thereby ensuring that budgets are adhered to;
  • Liaise with group finance department;

Strategy

  • Defining short term strategy which includes forecasting business;
  • Advising and assisting directors in defining long term strategy for Eden SuperBowl;
  • New business creation and implementation to meet short and long term objectives and growth targets;
  • Monitoring the external environment to anticipate business changes;
  • Working closely with the directors.

Experience:

  • Have at least 3 years experience working in a Management role
  • Have experience in managing a team and working towards KPIs
  • Good problem solving, interpersonal, organisational and communication skills are essential.

Duty Manager 

The chosen candidate will be responsible for the planning and execution of the day to day control of the Bowling to ensure client satisfaction and meet Company standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute operational procedures to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the business.
  • Perform duties and supervise all team members in all aspects of operations
  • Develop, set, review and monitor uniform standards, operational practices, company policies, hygiene, quality standards and ensure they are adhered to
  • Ensure that all stock is accounted for and the appropriate levels are maintained
  • Ensure the efficient and effective deployment of staff to provide service standard and manage business levels.
  • Responsible for coordinating and ensuring the effective training and development of all staff
  • Continuously review all aspects of the operations to maximize customer satisfaction, operational efficiency and effectiveness, enhancement of sales, profitability and standards.
  • Ensure all day to day accounting and financial controls are fully operational
  • Collect all monies and reconcile all cash points
  • Liaise with the Malta Ten Pin Bowling Association (MTBA)
  • Responsible for leagues, tournaments and activities
  • Handle corporate clients
  • Set and ensure all procedures are followed and be responsible for monitoring and updating quality procedures and carry out operational audits
  • Prepare all the necessary reporting required for the successful operation of the bowling
  • Plan and action any relevant events set by the General Manager
  • Investigate all issues and take corrective action as required.
  • Manage key performance indicators
  • Assist in setting up new operations and plans to develop the business
  • Ensure the venue, facilities and staff members meet stipulated health and safety regulations.
  • Deal and assist both clients and staff members.

The selected candidate will be required to work both day shifts and evening shifts on a roster pattern from Monday to Sunday including public holidays.

Experience:

  • Have at least 2 years experience working in a customer facing role
  • Have experience in managing a team and working towards KPIs
  • Good problem solving, interpersonal, organisational and communication skills are essential.

Customer Service Controller

 Eden SuperBowl are seeking to recruit a part-time Customer Service Controller to join its growing team.

The main responsibilities will include:

  • Greeting customers, taking payments and directing customers to where they need to go;
  • Answering customer questions courteously and accurately or quickly direct them to the appropriate resource;
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction with the products and services offered;
  • Dealing with customer complaints and issues;
  • Ensuring smooth running of Control Area and bowling lanes;
  • Frequently monitor patrons to detect disruptive behaviour and misuse of alleys and equipment;
  • Answering telephone calls;
  • Handling future bookings and bookings of parties;
  • Work effectively in a team with superiors and co-workers.;
  • Ability to work and meet deadlines with minimal supervision;
  • Exhibit excellent customer service skills.

Requirements

  • Have a good standard of education;
  • Be smart in appearance;
  • Fluent in English and, ideally, also Maltese;
  • Available to work 3 shifts a week - evening shifts and at weekends;
  • Of a strong character;
  • Have a minimum of one year experience in a customer service position.

Cinema Attendant 

Eden Cinemas are looking for part-time Cinema Attendants to form part of the operational team.

The main responsibilities will include:

  • Guiding patrons to the cinema and showing them to their seats;
  • Keeping cinemas and foyers clean;
  • Checking any faults regarding movie sound and picture;
  • Delivering excellent customer service at all times;
  • Maintaining a pleasant environment to watch the film.

The chosen candidates will need to be motivated and be able to communicate fluently in English.
