Battlefront Living History Group will transform Eden Cinemas’ foyers into the battlefronts and home fronts of World War 2 by recreating scenarios revolving around the evacuation of Dunkirk, and also give a glimpse into what Malta was facing during the siege of World War 2 and the threat of an invasion. All Dunkirk moviegoers on Sunday 30th July from 5pm-9pm will be eligible for the live, interactive re-enactments taking place in Eden Cinemas’ foyer.
Dunkirk movie synopsis: In May 1940, Germany advanced into France, trapping Allied troops on the beaches of Dunkirk. Under air and ground cover from British and French forces, troops were slowly and methodically evacuated from the beach using every serviceable naval and civilian vessel that could be found. At the end of this heroic mission, 330,000 French, British, Belgian and Dutch soldiers were safely evacuated.
