The Eden Leisure group participated in raising awareness for breast cancer through Europa Donna Malta’s event #PinkFridays. Participating in an initiative in aid of the Breast Cancer community, is something we feel proud to be involved with. Breast cancer is the most common form of cancer and the leading cause of death in woman over the age of 30 in Malta. With one in every eight Maltese woman suffering from the disease in the course of her lifetime, much awareness and education is needed.
However, through early diagnosis and education on symptoms, detecting cancer at an early stage can save lives and help avoid aggressive treatment. Our aim through doing this and through our ‘Bowl for Pink’ event, is to educate, create awareness and raise funds for Pink October, who are collecting money for medical equipment which takes x-rays of breast biopsies.
Eden Leisure group has successfully raised €350 for Pink October.
