FLORENCE AND THE UFFIZI GALLERY 3D & 2D

Eden Cinemas will be exhibiting ‘Florence and the Uffizi Gallery 3D/4k: a journey into the heart of the Renaissance’, exclusively, this January.  So much more than just a classic Art documentary, the film takes you on a multi-dimensional and multi-sensory journey into Italian Renaissance through the most beautiful, representative works of art of the period.

From the 15th to the 17th of January, for the first time worldwide, experience an art film on the veritable open-air museum, that is the City of Florence. Leading Renaissance figure, Lorenzo the Magnificent provides an emotional commentary, played by Simon Merrells. He takes the audience on a tour of his Florence through the cradle of Renaissance culture. Accompanied by the narrative of Marco Ciatti, the Director of the Uffizi Gallery for, Arturo Galansino, Director of Palazzo Strozzi and the artistic expert Antonio Natali, the art film offers an emotional and engaging narrative.

The narrative follows a trail of over 10 museums and 150 artworks amongst the top worldwide. It is an artistic foray into the city taking in everything from the Brancacci Chapel to the Bargello National Museum, from Palazzo Medici, into Florence’s narrow city streets. Through Brunelleschi’s Dome, from Palazzo Vecchio to the Uffizi Gallery and the Academia Gallery, you won’t miss any of the city’s top spots.

Through 3D technology, the film ensures a totally unprecedented and immersive viewing experience, allowing the works of art speak for themselves with all the power of their extraordinary beauty enhanced by 3D vision. This project sets a new benchmark in the history of art documentaries, discovering the full potential of technological visual experience and art combined.
