Friday 30th October 8.30pm
Due to popular demand, an encore production of London’s Royal Opera House La Bohème, starring the renowned Maltese Tenor Joseph Calleja as Rodolfo shall be shown exclusively at Eden Cinemas. Based on Giacomo Puccini’s world famous opera, the production will be showing the pre filmed opera exclusively at the Eden Cinemas on the 30th October at 8.30pm. First staged in 1974 and known to be one of The Royal Opera’s best loved operas; the production will feature the opera’s very last performance.
John Copley’s keen stagecraft and loving attention to period and dramatic detail make this production a masterpiece of realism, while Julia Trevelyan Oman’s designs evoke the atmosphere of 19th-century Paris. Israeli conductor Dan Ettinger conducts one of Puccini’s most emotional and melodious scores, in a revival that promises to go down in Royal Opera history.
Enhancing this unique experience is amplified sound, together with dimmed lighting. This provides a sense of authenticity, as though watching the production live from the Royal Opera House. Sure to be an unforgettable experience, the audience pays just a fraction of that charged overseas for theatre tickets.
Tickets for La Bohème are priced at €15 per adult and a mere €10 for children aged 16 and under. This includes a complimentary glass of wine, together with complimentary parking at Eden car park.
Patrons will also benefit from a 25% of at Waterbiscuit, on representation of their cinema ticket.
