THE WORLD INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL
FRIDAY 16th – SATURDAY 17th DECEMBER 2016

Discover the diversity of culture from all around the world at Eden Cinema’s World International Film Festival. Taking place on Friday 16th to Saturday 17th December, the mission of the festival is to create a bridge between the East and the West, and ultimately promote artistic and non mainstream movies to an international audience.

The festival organisers, World International Film Festival (WIFF), wish to make unfamiliar parts of the world, familiar, by showcasing the beauty of different cultures and create universal peace through arts. The festival provides opportunities for independent filmmakers to have their movies screened at a great red carpet style venue to a passionate audience of film professionals, film students, journalist and the general public whilst promoting the filmmaking industry.

The award winning and nominated films chosen will focus on many different themes. Two important feature films will dive deep into South African society. If you’re hungry for more stories placing women as their protagonists, you’ll enjoy the female-led films on offer at the festival. Watch documentaries about influencers and cultural icons, and feature films with strong, interesting female characters from all walks of life. Along with giving importance to women in the film industry, the festival will engage audiences in discussions on social justice and human rights.
