ELG Announces Go Green Week Campaign

Green

Earlier today, Kate De Cesare, Director of Operations at Eden Leisure Group, welcomed the Ministry for the Environment, Climate Change and Planning, Aaron Farrugia to announce our newest initiative: the Go Green Week.

For a full week from the 15th September, ELG will be organising a host of activities with this purpose across all of our departments, as well as internally amongst our employees.

Eden Cinemas will be dedicating 1 screen for the full week to show a host of environmental films to the public free of charge. A €1 donation will be collected per person to go towards a green fund.

An environmental awareness campaign will also be taking place with a reach of over a million individuals, across all our media channels, including our social media platforms as well as radio. This campaign will be aimed at sharing tips on how to be more eco friendly in our routine decisions.

Several beach and underwater cleanups are also being organised with our own employees participating throughout the week. These cleanups include Ghadira, Golden Bay, Spinola and St. George’s Bay.

Among other things we will also be hosting a used book drive to redistribute collected second-hand books to Inspire charity shops. Internally, there will also be multiple activities for our employees to encourage greener lives in the office as well.

We at Eden Leisure Group are hosting the Go Green Week with the idea of raising awareness about our environment and what each of us can do as individuals to make a difference. We believe that every small action we take can contribute to a bigger change for the better.

We hope this will inspire individuals as well as other local businesses to push for more sustainable practices and habits.

This initiative is supported by the Ministry for the Environment, Climate Change and Planning, and the Saving Our Blue campaign.
