Eden SuperBowl’s initiative to help fight against child obesity kicked off last Monday with a super start! Hundreds of the 3,000 children who enrolled in the Free Summer Bowling scheme, were invited to a large-scale kids party where they could enjoy a couple of games of bowling and loads of entertainment and animation, including balloon modelling, stilt walkers, magic shows, face-painting, and even enjoyed delicious fresh fruit smoothies prepared by EatWell, all for free. Eden SuperBowl manager, Neil Dent stated “Rather than a press launch this year, we thought we ought to have a launch event for the main protagonists, the children! A fun event to start their summer holidays off with a bang!”
Children between the ages of 5-16 who’ve enrolled in ‘Free Summer Bowling’ can enjoy 2 games of bowling for free, every day throughout the summer months – there are no hidden costs or conditions, just an alternative way to keep children entertained, active and exercising throughout the long summer holidays.
Although Free Summer Bowling has reached its maximum capacity for 2016, those children still wishing to participate and not signed up yet can still do so and be placed on a waiting list. After a number of weeks, those children not making use of their free bowling vouchers will be replaced by others on the waiting list.
