La Bohème – Starring the Maltese Tenor Joseph Calleja

La Boheme

Broadcast live from London’s Royal Opera House is La Bohème, starring the renowned Maltese Tenor Joseph Calleja as Rodolfo. Based on Giacomo Puccini’s world famous opera, the product will be showing exclusively at the Eden Cinemas on Wednesday 10th June at 20:15. First staged in 1974 and know to be one of The Royal Opera’s best loved operas; the production will be performed for the very last time this June.

John Copley’s keen stagecraft and loving attention to period and dramatic detail make this production a masterpiece of realism, while Julia Trevelyan Oman’s designs evoke the atmosphere of 19th-century Paris. Israeli conductor Dan Ettinger conducts one of Puccini’s most emotional and melodious scores, in a revival that promises to go down in Royal Opera history.

Due to popularity, La Bohème will be showing in Cinema 11, as well as Cinema 16. Enhancing this unique experience is amplified sound, together with dimmed lighting. This provides a sense of authenticity, as though watching the production live from the Royal Opera House. Sure to be an unforgettable experience, the audience pays just a fraction of that charged overseas for theatre tickets.

Tickets for La Bohème are priced at €23 per adult and a mere €10 for children aged 16 and under.  A complimentary glass of wine will also be offered, together with complimentary parking and a 25% discount at Waterbiscuit upon presentation of a ticket.
