As part of the company’s ongoing efforts to preserve the natural environment and encourage green behaviour, Eden Leisure Group organised five beach clean-ups across Malta.
The clean-ups were organised starting Monday 5th and finishing Friday 9th September. Each of the five departments was allocated to a different beach to cover as much ground as possible.
The administrative department organised both a diving and land clean-up at Xemxija to kick off the week of clean-ups. 250kg of bulky waste, as well as microplastics and cigarette butts were collected during this first major clean-up.
The Eden Cinemas and 89.7 Bay teams followed with clean-ups at St. George’s Bay at different times. Finally, the Cynergi and Eden SuperBowl departments closed off the week with by cleaning up Armier Bay and Balluta Bay respectively.
Transport was organised to and from the clean-ups to minimise the emissions by the participants as well.
The week of clean-ups was not only a great opportunity to both help the environment and the community but also to foster and encourage more green behaviour throughout the whole company.
