EDEN LEISURE GROUP WIN THE MANAGEMENT AWARD FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

The Eden Leisure Group has been awarded with the Management Award for Sustainable Development, for their hard work and dedication toward green initiatives and efforts made to be an exemplary corporate citizen. ELG set up their ‘Green Committee’ in July 2018 with the purpose of pushing the company to become more environmentally friendly and adopt greener practices.

The company has made sure to reduce paper usage with more efficient data storage system, while making use of sustainably resourced paper when paper is used around the office. Waste paper is now collected from each office and recycled. Additionally, energy saving lights were installed in each and every department.

Intelligent AC systems have also been installed inside the Eden Cinemas. These ACs automatically turn on and off when the room hits a certain temperature resulting in less energy consumption. Apart from the efforts made in-house throughout the year, our Green Committee also spearheaded a number of national awareness campaigns using the companies wide social media reach. ‘Bay Breakfast’ duo, Daniel and Ylenia also visited the local Ta’ Qali Market on a Saturday morning, promoting and distributing re-usable bags.
